About Northeastern University
Northeastern University is a private university based in Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1896 as the Evening Institute for Younger Men by the Boston YMCA. It became the Northeastern University in 1922 and began admitting women after World War II before separating from the YMCA in 1948. It features a βco-opβ education program with a mixture of classroom and professional experience through partnerships with businesses around the world.It has more than 27,000 students including 20,000 international students, making it one of the biggest universities for students from more than 147 countries to come and study.
