Course Overview This Level 9 programme equips registered nurses with the advanced knowledge and practical skills required to excel as a Public Health Nurse (RPHN). Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to apply for RPHN registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). The intensive one-year, full-time course combines academic modules with extensive clinical placements to prepare students for a leadership role in community and public health. Key Program Highlights Eligibility to apply for registration as a Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) with the NMBI Extensive clinical practicum with over 23 weeks of placement, including four blocks with a registered public health nurse Comprehensive 60-credit curriculum covering core public health nursing principles and practices Inclusion of a specialized NMBI-approved maternal and child health module for non-midwives Structured programme running from September to June with 300 hours of dedicated contact time
