About University of Illinois Springfield
The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) is a public higher education provider in the Midwest United States. It is part of the University of Illinois system and offers over 150 degree programs in various fields.In 1970, the university first opened as Sangamon State University. However, in 1995, it joined the University of Illinois system and offered more courses in different subjects.
