Course Overview

The Bachelor of Science (BS) program in Early Childhood Teacher Certification leads to qualification for Michigan teacher certification or to a degree in Education without certification. The program consists of three phases that prepare students to teach in the Birth through Kindergarten (B-K) grade band, or to complete the degree without certification. Students have the option to complete an additional Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3 grade band for Birth through Grade 3 (B-3) certification. An Education academic advisor will assist students in the selection of courses each semester to complete their chosen concentration(s). The minimum total credits required for the BS degree in Early Childhood Teacher Certification is 124.
