The Africana Studies General (BA) program as well as the Honors program have been placed on moratorium status and are not currently accepting new students. Students who have already declared this major will be allowed to complete their program www.umflint.edu/case/academic-departments/social-sciences-humanities/ The Africana Studies program at the University of Michigan-Flint prepares students for the ever-demanding need to engage and function in a diverse society. It is a multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary field of study that provides a well-rounded education in the tradition of the liberal arts and sciences. A degree in Africana Studies will deepen studentsโ knowledge of Africa and the African Diaspora.
