BA in Biology

Why study biology at Geneseo? The biology major provides students with the broad background necessary for various careers in the biological sciences and medicine. Students gain an understanding of the basic principles of genetics, ecology, evolution, cell biology, and anatomy and physiology. They develop skills in scientific decision-making and written and oral scientific research presentation. The program also emphasizes an appreciation for biological diversity and stewardship for the earth.
