Course Overview The Africana Studies major provides an interdisciplinary exploration of the diverse experiences of people of African descent across the globe. Students employ analytical tools from sociology, history, literature, and more to understand the social and cultural dynamics of African and Diaspora communities. This program equips students with critical thinking and communication skills through a unique blend of theoretical and applied research. Key Program Highlights Explore African, African American, Afro-Latin, Afro-Caribbean, and Afro-European experiences in a global context. Utilize an interdisciplinary approach drawing from sociology, psychology, literature, anthropology, politics, and history.
