Course Overview The Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (OEAS) graduate program is an interdisciplinary major that provides a foundational understanding of the Earth system before students pursue focused research in a specialized concentration. This competitive program is designed to forge strong collaborative cohorts across disciplines, culminating in a high-quality, publication-ready thesis or dissertation. Students work under the direct supervision of a faculty advisor and graduate committee to achieve depth in their chosen field. Key Program Highlights Interdisciplinary core curriculum introducing the elements of the Earth system and processes of mass and energy flow. Choice of five specialized concentrations: Atmospheric Sciences, Geological Oceanography, Geophysics, Ocean Ecology and Biogeochemistry, or Physical Oceanography.
