MA Ritual Chant & Song

Course Overview This one-year, full-time Master of Arts provides a unique, specialized training in ritual vocal repertoires, with a focus on Western plainchant and Irish traditional religious song. Students develop their vocal artistry through intensive one-to-one coaching and masterclasses while grounding their performance in the interdisciplinary study of ritual theory and liturgical history. The program is offered in collaboration with the Benedictine community at Glenstal Abbey, offering an immersive learning environment.
