BA in Spanish, Adolescence Education

Why study adolescence education at Geneseo? Students in Geneseo’s adolescence education program major in a primary area of study (e.g., English, history, physics) and complete certification courses in the School of Education. The program helps students combine their content area knowledge with the methods good teachers use to be effective teachers in classrooms of diverse students. Students work in schools with middle and high school students, learn how to plan lessons and units in their content area, and develop their professional stance as a future teacher.
