Course Overview Pharmacists play a huge role in helping people lead healthy lives. The UNSW Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Medicine/Master of Pharmacy prepares you for a rewarding career helping people stay well, manage health conditions and get the best results from their medicines. This unique, future-focused pharmaceutical program provides a breadth of skills and knowledge that go beyond traditional pharmacy and reflect the complexity and evolution of the profession. Key Program Highlights The role of a pharmacist continues to expand beyond traditional dispensing into more advanced clinical services, including reviews of how patients use medicines, evaluations of how medicines are used in health systems and vaccine administration. Pharmacists are also becoming a part of general practice and aged care services. Throughout your bachelor’s degree, you’ll focus on foundational and pharmaceutical sciences, including pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenomics, pharmaceutics and medicinal chemistry. The master’s degree explores advanced pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacy practice and management. You can also take elective courses from the Master of Health Leadership and Management to complement your pharmaceutical studies.
