Course Overview This program prepares undergraduate students to become highly qualified and professionally competent middle grades teachers for grades 6-9, leading to North Carolina teaching licensure. Students gain deep content knowledge by selecting two specializations from Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The curriculum is distinguished by its extensive, hands-on field experience, with over 80 hours completed in multiple middle school settings prior to the final internship.
