BS Health Sciences (Gross Motor Therapy Concentration)

Course Overview This concentration in gross motor development is specifically designed to prepare students for successful application to a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. The curriculum combines a rigorous general education core with advanced, writing-intensive coursework to build a strong academic foundation for future clinical studies. Key Program Highlights Direct preparation for applying to a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree program Completion of a 36-hour advanced course requirement (3000 or 4000 level) Development of strong writing skills through nine hours of writing-intensive (WI) courses Fulfillment of the Texas State general education core curriculum requirements Option to fulfill a foreign language requirement for students without prior high school credits
