Course Overview This interdisciplinary course offers a comprehensive exploration of human societies, blending archaeological fieldwork with anthropological theory to understand our species' journey from deep prehistory to the modern day. You will learn to analyze physical evidence from past cultures while investigating the rich diversity of contemporary human life across the globe. The program is uniquely hands-on, requiring practical excavation experience and providing a critical lens to examine fundamental themes like evolution, ritual, and social organization.
