Course Overview This interdisciplinary course explores how art, literature, and visual culture reflect and shape societies from the medieval period to the present day. You will develop critical analysis skills by interpreting a diverse range of works, from historical artifacts to contemporary film, within the vibrant cultural scene of Exeter, a UNESCO City of Literature. The program culminates in a final-year dissertation, allowing you to specialize in English Literature, Creative Writing, or Art History & Visual Culture.
