Course Overview Graduates from ABET-accredited programs are authorized and encouraged to sit for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, which is the initial step toward professional licensure. Passing this exam qualifies the individual as an "Engineer in Training (EIT)" and leads to the subsequent licensing steps.
