Course Overview This course provides a comprehensive exploration of art, literature, and material culture to understand the social and intellectual currents of both ancient and contemporary societies. You will analyze a diverse range of artifacts, from classical texts in translation to modern design, to develop critical interpretive skills. The program offers the unique flexibility to engage with the ancient world either through translated texts or by studying a classical language in depth.
