Course Overview This Master of Science in Midwifery (Pre-Registration) is an intensive three-year program designed for graduates seeking to become registered midwives. It combines advanced academic study with extensive clinical placements to develop highly skilled, autonomous practitioners capable of providing individualized, evidence-based care. Upon completion, graduates are awarded an MSc and are eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Key Program Highlights Earn a Master of Science degree and become an NMC-registered midwife upon successful completion. Gain extensive hands-on experience through 50% of the program dedicated to clinical placements across the South West of England. Learn from an experienced and diverse team of midwifery lecturers and associate professors with dedicated MSc-level tutorials. Develop advanced skills in managing complex care needs and conducting newborn infant physical examinations (NIPE). Complete a final-year research or practice development project, preparing you for autonomous practice or further PhD study.
