Course Overview This MSc Midwifery (Shortened) programme equips registered adult nurses with the advanced knowledge and skills to become autonomous, highly competent midwives. Through a blend of rigorous academic study and extensive clinical placements, students learn to provide individualized, evidence-based care to women and their families. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to register with the NMC and are prepared for global midwifery practice or further academic research. Key Program Highlights Eligibility to register as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) upon completion Intensive 50/50 split between academic study and hands-on clinical placements across the South West Development of advanced skills, including caring for complex needs and newborn infant physical examination (NIPE) Conduct an independent research or practice development project in the second year Taught by an experienced team of midwifery lecturers and clinicians with diverse expertise
