Course Overview
Course Overview This course offers an interdisciplinary exploration of infectious diseases, integrating quantitative modeling with ecology, immunology, and social sciences to address real-world challenges. The curriculum is focused on both endemic and neglected diseases, with a strong emphasis on applying cutting-edge scientific approaches to problems in both developed and developing countries. Students will engage in research projects that bridge field work, data analysis, and theoretical frameworks to develop effective disease management strategies. Key Program Highlights Interdisciplinary approach combining mathematical modeling, ecology, and immunology Focus on real-world applications for endemic, neglected, and zoonotic diseases Training in advanced quantitative methods, including Bayesian inference and phylodynamics Opportunities for field-based research in both UK and international settings Exploration of One Health principles connecting animal, human, and ecosystem health
